The Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta state, presided by Justice Okon Effreti Abang, has dismissed all Counter Motions and applications sort by the Destiny Akpovoka and INEC in the suit filed by Chief Daniel Ekorhi
Chief Daniel Ekorhi had in a suit with no: FHC/WR/CS/98/2022, challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on the removal of his name as the candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, for the Federal House of Representative for Ughelli North/ Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency for the 2023 election.
Striking out the Counter Motions and Applications as filed by Akpovoka Efeni Destiny, Justice Okon Abang frowned at the counsels to the defendants for frivolous excuses for filling behind the ten days as stipulated by the rules of the Federal High Court on Pre election matters.
The case was adjourned to February 14, 2023, for final judgement as all motions were strike out without cost and adopted all the reliefs sort by Chief Daniel Ekorhi for judgment on the 14th of February for final judgment.
With the adoption, Chief Daniel Ekorhi is the substantive candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the forth coming general elections.
Reacting to the judgement of the Warri Federal High Court as delivered by Justice Okon Abang, Olorogun Omeco Daniel Ekorhi said “This a win win situation for the party, and i am grateful to God, though it was not yet uhuru.
“I appreciates God for the epochal nature of His Lordship in delivering the judgement and it is our believe that come February 14, 2023, we shall be victorious.”
“I want to enjoined party faithful and supporters to unite and work assiduously for the success of the APGA come February 25th and March 11, 2023.”
